Aly Raisman is the talented gymnast and two-time Olympian who have helped the U.S. Gymnastics Teams to win many gold medals in World Championships.
At the 2012 summer Olympics in London, Aly won gold medals in the team and floor competitions. She also won the bronze medal on the balance beam. At the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016, she and Gabby Douglas won gold medals in the team event making them the only Americans with back to back team golds. Aly Raisman is a Gemini. She was born on May 25, 1994, in Needham, Massachusetts, USA. Her mother name is Lynn Raisman and she was a high school Gymnast. Her father is Rick Raisman. Aly has two sisters, Chole, and Madison and one brother, Brett. She is Jewish and she said she feels proud to represent not only the USA but also the Jewish community.
- Training - At the age of two, Aly’s mom placed her in “mommy and me classes” and that’s when she started learning gymnastics. She said her love for gymnastics came from the 1996 Summer Olympics when the US women team “the magnificent seven” won the gold medal. She trained at Exxcel Gymnastics then later moved to Brestyan’s Gymnastics Club.
- Education – Aly worked hard to balance her school work with her love for gymnastics. She completed her senior year at Needham High School via online classes because she was training for the Olympics. She graduated in 2012 and even attended her senior prom. Her mother was quoted as saying that:

- She participated in several games and won gold, silver, and bronze medals. For example, in May 2010, she helped the American team to win the gold medal at the Pacific Rim Championships in Melbourne, and in 2011 she competed at the 2011 World Artistic Championship in Tokyo.
- Also, at the 2016 Olympic games in Rio, she helped her team to win gold once more with impressive performances on the vault. She shared the victory with her teammates Gabby Douglas, Hernandez, Kocian, and best friend Simone Biles. They dubbed themselves as “the final five.”
