A Wisconsin student group is set to feature the writing of a deceased Palestinian terrorist at political education events held at a public library, according to a promotion published by Students for Justice in Palestine Madison on Thursday.

The Praxis of Resistance: Selected Writings of Bassel al-Araj event series is set to be held at the Central Madison Public Library every Saturday of June, the SJP chapter announced.

Araj, who was killed in a 2017 Ramallah gunfight with IDF troops, was allegedly was the head of a terrorist cell, planned attacks, and procured weapons.

He had previously been arrested by the Palestinian Authority for planning attacks against Israelis.

Killed in a gunfight with IDF; head of a terror cell who planned attacks

"This month, we will be reading texts by Bassel al-Araj, a Palestinian revolutionary and writer," read a Thursday SJP Instagram Post.

Madison Public Library said the event was held in a meeting room that was open for use under its meeting and study room policy.

"Meeting and study rooms are made available to the public regardless of the beliefs or affiliations of individuals or groups requesting their use, and use of the Library’s rooms does not constitute the Library’s endorsement or advocacy of a meeting’s content or an individual/group," reads the policy. "Library meeting room use may include content that may be unorthodox, unpopular with the majority, or controversial in nature. The Library adheres to the principles of intellectual freedom, adopted by the American Library Association, as expressed in the Library Bill of Rights and the Meeting Rooms and Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion statements."
