IDF succeeds in evacuating almost 1 million from Rafah in 2 weeks

The IDF has succeeded in evacuating around 950,000 Palestinian civilians in only two weeks since May 6, the military revealed on Monday.

In addition, around 30-40% of Rafah is now under IDF control, not merely a small portion of the eastern sector, and about 60-70% of Rafah has been completely evacuated.

Four killed in alleged Israeli strikes in western Syria - report

At least two members of Hezbollah were reportedly killed in the strike in Syria.

Four people were killed, and several others were injured in alleged Israeli airstrikes that targeted two sites in and near al-Qusayr in western Syria on Monday morning, according to Syrian reports.

Footage from the scene of one of the strikes showed a truck turned on its side and a destroyed building.

The International Criminal Court is seeking arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, as well as Hamas leaders Yahya Sinwar, Ismail Haniyeh, and Mohammed Deif, its Chief Prosecutor Karim Khan announced Monday, the 227th day of the Gaza war.

Gallant to US national security advisor: 'We are committed to expanding ground operation in Rafah'

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant told US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan that Israel is committed to expanding the ground operation in Rafah during a meeting on Monday morning, Israeli media reported.

Gallant presented Sullivan with Israel's evacuation plan for the Palestinians residing in the Rafah area. The defense minister emphasized to the national security advisor that expanding the ground operation in Rafah is part of Israel's duty to dismantle Hamas and return the hostages.

In a meeting with Minister-without-portfolio Benny Gantz and National Unity Minister-without-portfolio Gadi Eisenkot, Sullivan discussed normalization with Saudi Arabia and promoting a directorate for civilian needs in Gaza, Kan News reported. 

Earlier in the day, Opposition Leader and Yesh Atid Chairman Yair Lapid met with US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, Israeli media reported.

Israel was not involved in the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash that also killed several members of his entourage, an Israeli official told Reuters on Monday.

"It wasn't us," said the official, who requested anonymity.

Iran's Supreme Leader approves Mokhber as interim president, declares 5 days mourning

Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Monday that First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber is in charge of the executive branch and has a maximum period of 50 days to hold elections following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash, Iran's official news agency IRNA reported.

Additionally, Iran's government cabinet appointed on Monday Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri Kani as acting foreign minister following the death of Hossein Amirabdollahian in a helicopter crash.
