Israel-Hamas War day 276: What is going on in Gaza, Lebanon?

Overnight, an IDF aircraft struck and eliminated Hezbollah terrorist Mustafa Hassan Salman in the Qlaileh area of southern Lebanon, the military announced on Monday. 

Salman, an operative in Hezbollah's Rockets and Missiles Unit, took part in planning and carrying out terror attacks against Israel, the IDF added.

National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir met with the civilian being investigated on suspicion of murdering a Nukhba terrorist on October 7, and offered him backing, his office stated on Monday.

"I came to thank you on behalf of the State of Israel," Ben-Gvir reportedly said, adding, "I heard about your story of heroism, how you risked yourself [and] went to save people's lives. You reminded me of heroes from the past, like Mordechai Anielewicz and the other heroes of Israel who risked themselves."

"The terrible injustice done to you by the state attorney Amit Aisman, who ordered to open a delusional and crazy investigation - is a terrible thing. But I came to say thank you on behalf of the State of Israel," the minister concluded. 

Overnight, the IDF carried out massive attacks on the Gaza Strip, with air force bombings in the center of the Gaza Strip.

In parallel, a fighter jet intercepted a suspicious aerial target that made its way to Israel from the Red Sea.

Following Palestinian reports of IDF strikes in Jabalya, the military confirmed at around 01:00 a.m. that it had attacked Hamas targets in the central Gaza Strip. According to Palestinian reports, at least 10 people were killed in the strikes.

Baptist Hospital evacuated 

The Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Zeitun neighborhood located in the south of Gaza City, where the IDF has already operated in earlier stages of the fighting, was evacuated during the night. Palestinian media and Al Jazeera reported unusual attacks in Mamdan in the city's industrial area and also in the neighborhoods of Al-Tufah and Shajaia.

Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) chief Ronen Bar left with an Israeli delegation for Cairo on Monday for the continuation of the hostage deal talks, Israeli media reported. 

The Israel Air Force (IAF) struck a Hezbollah military site in the Jabal Tourah area in southern Lebanon overnight, the IDF stated on Monday morning.

At the same time, the air force also hit targets in the areas of Qabrikha and Tallouseh, striking a Hezbollah weapons storage facility and military structure in those areas, respectively.

The US military's Central Command reported that in the past 24 hours, its forces destroyed two Houthi drones in Yemen, while partner forces destroyed two more over the Gulf of Aden. These actions were taken to protect US, coalition forces, and merchant vessels, ensuring safer international waters.

An IAF fighter jet successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target heading towards Israeli territory from the Red Sea, the military stated overnight Monday. The target did not penetrate Israeli airspace, and no alerts were activated according to policy.

Lieutenant Oriel Mashiach, commander of the Sabar Battalion in the Givati Brigade, shared insights with Maariv on Sunday about the combat operations in Rafah: "We are conducting very intense combat. Rafah is devoid of civilians, and what we see are the terrorists."
