PIJ attempted to launch rockets from Tulkarm, Palestinian sources reveal

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad tried and failed a few days ago to launch rockets at Israel from the Tulkarm area in the West Bank, Israeli state broadcaster KAN news reported on Tuesday, citing Palestinian security sources. 

The attempt comes amid heightened IDF, Shin Bet, and Israel Border Police operations in the area.

Hostages and Missing Families Forum demand on Capitol Hill that Netanyahu sign deal

Released hostages, families of captives and the local Jewish community demonstrated in support of a deal outside Capitol Hill.

Hostage family members wearing bright yellow shirts adorned with underlined, bold red letters displaying the words "Sign the deal NOW" stood on the National Mall overlooking Capitol Hill on Tuesday night with more than 100 supporters holding Israeli flags and posters of the hostages surrounding them. 

The families stood between four massive banners that read "save lives NOW, give us hope NOW, seal the deal NOW."

This is the message the families are desperate for lawmakers and administration officials to carry to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu before and after he addresses Congress on Wednesday afternoon before a joint session of Congress.

American-Israeli hostage families to meet with Biden, Netanyahu on Thursday

Polin also said he'll tell Netanyahu that the complete victory he's been talking about for the past 291 days is part and parcel for bringing the hostages home.

American-Israeli hostage families will jointly meet with President Biden and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday at the White House, Jonathan Polin, father of 23-year-old Hersh Goldberg Polin, told reporters on Tuesday night. 

On Wednesday morning prior to Netanyahu's address, a separate group of Israeli hostage families will be meeting at the White House with Amos Hochstein, US Envoy on Lebanon. 

Gil Dickmann, cousin of hostage Carmel Gat, said Biden is the only one he thinks Netanyahu will listen to about signing the deal.

IDF soldier seriously wounded by missiles that fell near Har Dov

An IDF fighter was seriously injured as a result of the fall of several missiles that crossed from Lebanese territory towards the Mount Dov area, it was announced early on Wednesday morning.

The soldier was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, and his family was informed.

SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said that his Starlink satellite internet service has been activated in a hospital in Gaza, where many medical facilities have been destroyed by the war, with the help of the United Arab Emirates and Israel.

The Gulf Arab state's foreign minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, thanked the billionaire entrepreneur for supporting the UAE field hospital in Gaza, where many medical facilities have been demolished and medicines are scarce.

"Starlink is now active in a Gaza hospital with the support of @UAEmediaoffice and @Israel," Musk posted on X, formerly Twitter.
