Home Front Command exercise will take place Monday morning in the Rosh Ha'ayin area

A Home Front Command military exercise will take place on Monday morning until the afternoon in the Rosh Ha'ayin area, the IDF announced on Monday morning.

"There will be increased vehicle activity. There is no security threat," the IDF emphasized. Moreover, the IDF stressed that the exercise was scheduled in advance as part of the IDF's annual training plan for 2024.

IDF officer and soldier wounded after Hezbollah barrage to northern Israel

Following sirens sounded in the Upper Galilee, numerous aerial targets were identified crossing from Lebanon, the IDF announced on Monday overnight. 

Interceptors were launched towards the targets, and as a result, one of the targets was noted as being downed adjacent to Ayelet Hashachar. 

As a result of the attack in the area, an IDF officer and soldier were moderately injured and were evacuated to a hospital to receive medical treatment. Their families were notified, the IDF noted.

The United States stressed the importance of quickly resolving the Gaza ceasefire and hostage deal amid reports of tensions between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Joe Biden on the issue.

“We’ve been quite clear how urgent the situation is in Gaza and how strongly we feel… that this deal needs to get done,” US National Security Deputy Adviser Jonathan Finer said on Sunday.

“The President has said this publicly he has conveyed this privately to all parties, including the Prime Minister when he was in Washington a couple of weeks ago,” Finer told CBS’s Face the Nation on Sunday.
