Hamas weapons maker Taha Abu Nada killed in IAF airstrike

According to the military, Nada was an operative in Hamas's weapons manufacturing headquarters.

An Israel Air Force aircraft struck and eliminated Hamas terrorist Taha Abu Nada, the IDF stated on Saturday.

The strike was reportedly conducted based on intelligence provided by the Military Intelligence Directorate.

According to the military, Nada was an operative in Hamas's Weapons Manufacturing Headquarters and was responsible for the production of both military ordnance and weapons production equipment.

Separately, on Friday, the IDF commenced a "targeted operation against terrorist infrastructure" in the Gaza City area and has succeeded in eliminating both Hamas terrorists as well as infrastructure used by the terror organization, the military added.

Israeli shelling in Gaza kills 12 Palestinians, PA-run media says

At least 12 Palestinians, including two children and a woman, were killed early on Saturday morning by Israeli attacks east of Gaza's Khan Younis and in the Al-Nuseirat camp area, the Palestinian Authority-run Wafa news agency said.

At least 15 others were wounded in the attacks, Wafa added.

Hostage survivors and relatives of those still held in Gaza met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, in his office in Jerusalem on Friday.

Following the meeting, Channel 12 was able to get access to a recording of the meeting in which the pair can be heard telling the former hostages and relatives that there was not a deal on the table and that whoever told them that was "simply lying."

During the meeting the attendees urged the Prime Minister to sign an agreement and get as many hostages released as possible.

‘A terrorist in a suit!’: Danny Danon hits out at Palestinian rep in UNSC confrontation

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon told the rest of the UNSC that "the days when Jewish blood was spilled without a response are over."

Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon accused the Palestinian representative, Riyad Mansour, of platforming Hamas in addition to the Palestinian Authority at Thursday night’s UN Security Council meeting after the representative accused Israel of committing genocide. 

After Mansour told the council “Israel is committing genocide,” Danon responded by telling the representative “If you cannot condemn Hamas, you are one of them. You are a terrorist in a suit!”

The confrontation occurred at the UNSC meeting to discuss the ongoing escalations in the Middle East. It came amid Danon’s first address before the council since he returned to the role.

Iran's FM tells French, British counterparts it has right to retaliate for Haniyeh assassination

Iran's new Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told his French and British counterparts in telephone conversations on Friday that it was his country's right to retaliate against Israel for last month's assassination of a Hamas official in Tehran, the official IRNA news agency reported.

Iran blames Israel for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on July 31, which Araqchi was quoted as saying was "an unforgivable violation of Iran's security and sovereignty," adding: "Punishing the aggressor is Iran's right."

Israel has neither claimed nor denied responsibility for Haniyeh's death in the Iranian capital.

France's Stephane Sejourne and Britain's David Lammy had called to congratulate Araqchi on his appointment this week as Iran's new foreign minister.
