Russian ice dancers Cirque de Glace will wow the capital with chilly acrobatics.

A new and limited-time performance in Jerusalem next month brings Russian ice stars to perform just eight shows of Cirque de Glace’s Ice Land.The performance, at the capital’s Payis Arena, is a combination of skating, dance and acrobatics, telling the story of the creation of the world and its evolution.The appearance is made possible after the Maccabiah Games this month, which necessitated building the rink for ice hockey competitions. Once the games left town, it was open to the public for ice skating, but come August 16 the professionals will take over.Cirque de Glace will stage eight performances between August 16 and 20, with early-bird tickets going for NIS 35 at www.bimot.co.il.
