Hollywood film director Quentin Tarantino is reportedly engaged to Israeli singer Daniela Pick.
Tarantino, 54, and Pick, 33, met in 2009 when the director was in Israel promoting his film Inglorious Basterds. The pair had an on and off relationship over the years, but, according to Walla!, the director dropped to his knee in Los Angeles on Friday and popped the question. Pick, of course, said yes.
Pick's father, famed Israeli musician Tzvika Pick, told Ynet on Saturday that "yes, there is joy in our family. They got engaged on Friday and we wished them mazel tov."
Speaking to GLZ radio, Tzvika Pick said he has yet to meet his future son-in-law.
“We haven’t met yet,” he said. “With us, of Polish descent, until it’s serious we don’t meet.”
In addition to her musical career, Pick has appeared in the Israeli reality TV shows Dancing with the Stars and Big Brother VIP.
The New Beverly Cinema, which Tarantino owns, tweeted about the news Saturday night, seemingly confirming it.
Tarantino is famed for his critically acclaimed films Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2 and more. In November, the director said he plans to retire after making 10 films, which would mean two more according to his calculations.
