Legendary American comic Jerry Seinfeld will be returning to Israel next month for two shows in one night in Tel Aviv.
Seinfield, one of the most famous living comedians, will play gigs at 7 and 10 pm in Tel Aviv’s Menorah Mivtachim Arena on December 30, the same venue the comedian performed four sold-out shows in a row in 2015.
Reviewing his show then for The Jerusalem Post, David Brinn said Seinfeld was “class personified.”
“In a rapid-fire 90-minute set that flowed seamlessly from his patented ‘nothing’ topics of the peccadilloes of the human race to more recent fare reflecting his current life, like marriage and parenthood, Seinfeld was like a vintage Rolls Royce out on the road for a rare spin for all to marvel at,” wrote Brinn.
The comedian and native New Yorker is obviously best known for his hit eponymous TV show, but he’s also a master of the world of stand-up.
In September, he released a new comedy special on Netflix, titled Jerry Before Seinfeld.
Seinfeld is just one of a range of top comedians who have booked shows in Israel in recent years. Louis C.K. sold out an arena in Jerusalem twice back in August 2016, and Chris Rock is slated to play two shows in Tel Aviv in January. Jim Gaffigan was scheduled to perform in Israel over the summer but had to cancel due to his wife’s illness.
Tickets for Seinfeld’s December shows will go on sale on November 15 at 9 am. Seats range in prices from NIS 295-NIS 1255 and are available at leaan.co.il.
