1. SOLE SURVIVORS
Not your usual film about surviving in a post-apocalyptic world, Z for Zachariah tells the story of two men and one woman who live through a cataclysm that has killed everyone else. Ann, who somehow survived on her family farm, thinks she is the only person left alive.
But one day she comes across an ailing scientist and brings him home to recuperate. When the two become closer, another survivor, a roughneck named Caleb, shows up. With Margot Robbie, Chris Pine, Chiwetel Ejiofor.
2. HIGHLY DIVERSE
For this year’s Golden Globes, the 85 voting members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association identified an array of possibilities that include nominating six African-American actors and recognized a wide range of stories that salute movies driven by women, such as Florence Foster Jenkins and 20th Century Women, a poignant look at a freethinking, independent mother.
The Golden Globes will be aired live in Israel on January 9 at 3 a.m. on YES 1
3. DANGEROUS AND SEDUCTIVE
Based on the Letty Dobesh novels by Blake Crouch, the new TV drama series Good Behavior centers on con artist Letty Raines and her inability – despite good intentions – to live a clean life. Fresh out of prison, Letty attempts to reunite with her 10-year-old son and keep in regular contact with her parole officer, whose motives for helping her are questionable. But after she overhears a hit man being hired to kill a man’s wife, Letty sets out to derail the job and finds herself on a collision course with the killer, entangling herself in a dangerous and seductive relationship.

4. A GOOD ADAPTATION
The theatrical adaptation of Mark Haddon’s book The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time comes to Jerusalem. The story follows 15-year-old Christopher and his exceptional brain on a Sherlock Holmes-style investigation as he gathers evidence about the death of his neighbor’s dog. Director Gilad Kimchi adopts the wry British humor of Simon Stephens and injects an Israeli personality into the rich script to produce a surprisingly quirky, yet heartwarming product. These performances will have English surtitles.

5. WHO WANTS TO GROW UP?
