The Tanabura family, a Palestinian family who were originally from Gaza and now live in Israel, said that Gaza should be “flattened” after their loved one was killed by Hamas in Sderot, according to an interview published by Sky News on October 14.

Amir Tanabura, 20, was murdered by Hamas terrorists in a filmed attack when he left the family home to buy cigarettes. The attack was then shared online, which is how the Tanabura family discovered the news of their loved one’s death.

Amir’s body was later discovered with multiple gunshot wounds. His family reported sneaking out to recover his body.

Amir’s brother, Younes, recounted his brother’s final moments saying: "Three terrorists chased him, but he was unable to escape. They murdered him like that, for nothing, a good man who saw an injured person and wanted to help.”

The brothers of Amir Tanabura

All of Amir’s brothers described what a kind man he had been.

"He had a heart of gold," said 17-year-old Avraham. "As they say, 'God takes only the best'. Next month, he should have turned 21."

"There was no mercy," Avraham told Sky. "They could have shot him once but no - they shot him several times, well after he died. He got a bullet, here, here, here."

"Hamas are murderers, they are terrorists. We should erase everybody, Gaza should be flattened. I have family in Gaza but I think Gaza should be flattened."

The Israeli army said on Saturday it was investigating an incident in southern Lebanon in which a Reuters journalist was killed. A Reuters witness at the scene has said he was struck by missiles fired from the direction of Israel.

"We are aware of the incident with the Reuters journalist," army spokesman Lt Col Richard Hecht told a regular briefing. "We are looking into it. We already have visuals. We're doing cross examination. It's a tragic thing," he said.

Lebanon said on Saturday said it would submit a formal complaint to the UN Security Council on "Israel's deliberate killing" of Reuters video journalist Issam Abdallah, a Lebanese national, state media reported.

Abdallah was with a group of journalists from other organizations, including Al Jazeera and Agence France-Presse, when he was killed on Friday while providing a live video signal for broadcasters.

The group was working near the village of Alma al-Shaab, close to the Israel border, where the Israeli military and Hezbollah have been trading fire in border clashes.

Maher Nazeh, who was wounded in the same incident along with his Reuters colleague Thaer Al-Sudani, said they were filming missile fire coming from the direction of Israel when one struck Abdallah as he was sitting on a low stone wall near the rest of the group. Seconds later, another missile hit the car being used by the group, setting it aflame.

While other news outlets, including the Associated Press and Al Jazeera, said the shells were Israeli, Reuters could not establish whether the missiles had actually been fired by Israel.

Agence France-Presse and Al Jazeera each said two of their journalists were wounded in the incident.

Israel has suffered more that 1,300 deaths as a result of the war with Hamas, but life in Israel has continued to find a way to thrive and survive, as two new parents welcomed the birth of baby Barry two days ago.

Baby Barry, or Be'eri, was born in the south under heavy rocket fire, sirens and the weight of the last week of fatal events. Her name was selected to honor the memory of Kibbutz Be’eri that suffered extreme losses from Hamas terrorists.

The announcement of baby Barry has received over 1,500 likes with many commenters sending their blessings to the newborn.

“Be'eri - Welcome to the world. You’re so beautiful & precious. May you give LIGHT into the darkness for those who were lost. May He give you strength, love & compassion to those who need a smile,” one woman wrote.

“Bless to this baby girl! Born in this time means God is rising a new generation with hope and faith that better days is coming!

We stand [with] and [are] praying for Israel,” another Facebook user wrote.

The attack on Kibbutz Be’eri

Be’eri was heavily attacked by Hamas terrorists last Saturday, with over 100 of the kibbutz’s residents brutally murdered. Many children who were kidnapped from the kibbutz still remain hostages of Hamas in Gaza.

CCTV footage was able to catch the moments that Hamas launched their deadly attacks on Israeli civilians and the bodies removed thereafter.

"They massacred everybody here, 112 residents of this kibbutz were murdered. We can see just the level of the destruction of what happened here," Maj. Libby Weiss of the Israel Defense Forces told Muir. "People were asleep. They surprised them in their homes. Some were butchered in their beds."

Sofie Berzon MacKie, a survivor of Be’eri, described the attack as a “pogrom.”
