Sgt. First Class Guy Ludar, 21, fell while fighting in southern Lebanon, the IDF announced on Friday.

Ludar, from Yuvalim, was a soldier in the Maglan Unit of the Commando Brigade.

His name was shared after his family was notified.

Soldier killed by friendly fire in Lebanon

According to a report by Army radio, Ludar was killed by friendly fire in a two-sided shooting incident in the village of Shebaa in southern Lebanon.

An additional soldier was seriously injured during the incident, which involved two units clashing while searching for a terrorist in the area.

The terrorist in question was captured by the IDF forces, while the military opened an investigation into the incident.

Ludar's family decided to donate his organs following his death, N12 News reported on Sunday morning.
