An Israel Air Force helicopter failed to take off after landing to evacuate three wounded soldiers in southern Lebanon on Monday morning, the IDF said later in the afternoon.
The helicopter had experienced a technical malfunction and had not been hit by enemy fire, the military confirmed, adding that it had managed to take off again after repairs in the field.
A second helicopter had been scrambled to evacuate the three soldiers in its stead.
The three soldiers had been wounded on Monday morning after a drone carrying explosives detonated near their position.
Their families were notified, the IDF noted.
