The IDF killed a Hamas commander in Gaza's Al-Shati area on Thursday who participated in the October 7 massacre, the military said on Friday.
According to the IDF, terrorist Nabil Ibrahim Bass infiltrated Israel on October 7, 2023, as part of the Hamas terror attack.
Also on Thursday, the IDF killed Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) observation platoon commander Hamdi Ahmad Hamid Kahlil in a separate strike in Gaza's Sabra area, the military added.
The military said that the strikes were conducted as part of Israel's efforts to prevent the reconstitution of Gazan terror organizations, such as Hamas and PIJ, noting that the groups' rebuilding efforts are a violation of the ceasefire agreement.
The IDF further noted that both Bass and Kahlil had continuously worked to advance terror attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians throughout the war.
The strikes followed an attack on Wednesday in which the IDF killed Hamas Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades commander Ismail Mohammad Ibrahim Barim, responsible for holding Israeli hostages Edan Alexander, Matan Zangauker, and Avera Mengistu in a southern Gaza tunnel, the military confirmed.

On Sunday, Hamas Nukhba terrorists Razek Sahil Suleiman Abu Shahma and Hazem Mousa were killed by IDF strikes in Gaza with the participation of the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), with both terrorists having infiltrated Re'im during the October 7 massacre, the military said on Thursday.
Abu Shahma additionally served as former Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s bodyguard prior to the death of the October 7 mastermind at the hands of Israeli soldiers, the IDF added.
