The views of Israel Resilience Party leader Benny Gantz are the same as Labor’s, party leader Avi Gabbay said in a taped conversation with party activists revealed by KAN correspondent Ze’ev Kamm on Tuesday.“We have no problem with Gantz,” Gabbay said in the conversation. “He speaks the same language, has the same values and stances as us. There is no gap between our views and his.”When Labor MK Stav Shaffir said publicly two weeks ago that Gantz’s views were the same as Labor’s, Likud posted her comments on the party’s website to highlight them.Likud politicians have been calling Gantz a leftist since Monday morning, when he endorsed changing the Nation-State Law that passed in July, to guarantee the rights of Druze citizens. On the tape, Gabbay confirmed that he has been engaged in talks with other party leaders about building a bloc that have not been successful. He blasted his former partner in the Zionist Union, Hatnua head Tzipi Livni, for obsessing over building such a bloc.“Those screaming bloc, bloc, bloc weaken themselves, and don’t believe in themselves,” he said.
