The IDF arrested two Hamas members in the West Bank overnight between Sunday and Monday, and a third man who was wanted for taking part in violent disturbances. The two Hamas men were taken into custody during night raids in Ni’lin, northwest of Ramallah, and Tulkarm. The third suspect was caught in Tukua, southeast of Bethlehem.A senior security source said the arrest of the Hamas members is part of a continuous wave of arrests against Hamas infrastructure in the West Bank. The source said he could not go into detail about suspicions against them, but added that they were not about to carry out an imminent terrorist attack. The army damaged Hamas’s presence in the West Bank in June during Operation Brother’s Keeper, launched in response to the kidnap and murder of three Israeli teenagers by Hamas members near Hebron.During the June operation, the IDF and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) took into custody more than 400 security suspects – a majority Hamas members. Ten IDF brigades were mobilized to Judea and Samaria to take part in the raids.
