Haven't seen the family in months? Bringing home a significant other? Big family gatherings are stressful, which is maybe why Israelis tend to get more aesthetic work done before Passover.According to the Israeli Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery, the demand for plastic and aesthetic surgery in Israel rises in the lead up to Passover. The most requested surgeries tend to be nose surgeries and minor liposuction. This year there has also been a rise in breast reduction surgery for men. Those choosing to opt for cosmetic surgery before the holidays tend to be men and women in their 50s who they feel they are at the "height of their careers," and come felling that their "face is not compatible with their body and energy," according to the report. Many choose Passover as the perfect time for surgery because of the long vacation that can be used as recovery time, the report said. The society warned those looking to get plastic surgery done to be wary of deals and cheap prices around the holiday times."Take care to avoid cheap aesthetic procedures that requires the use of high quality material," said Dr. Meir Cohen, the chairman of Israeli Society of Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery. "Make sure you have chosen a plastic surgeon who has a doctor's degree from the Health Ministry and is a member of the Plastic Surgery Association of the Israel Medical Association."
