Man found dead in a river in northern Israel, fourth flood fatality

Ali Agbaria’s body was found in the Dalia Stream in the North following a search of the area, the Israel Police reported Monday morning.Agbaria, who was reported missing on Sunday afternoon, was traveling with his son to Givat Nili when they got caught in a flood, according to Ynet. His son was rescued.Agbaria is the fourth person to die as a result of a storm that hit Israel on Saturday, causing massive flooding.On Sunday, the body of Eran Herrnstadt, 72, was found inside his vehicle, which was set adrift by the flood and was discovered in Binyamina in the North, The Jerusalem Post’s sister publication Ma’ariv reported. Rescue workers pronounced him dead at the scene.Dean Shoshani and Stav Harari were killed as a result of the storm when the elevator of a Tel Aviv residential building they were in short-circuited and began filling with water. Divers arrived at the scene to rescue them an hour and a half after the Israel Fire and Rescue Services (IFRS) was notified, according to the IFRS.
