May 23, Lag Ba’omer, is International Museum Day in Israel, with free entrance to dozens of museums nationwide, with special activities under the theme ‘The Museum As a Cultural Greenhouse – The Future of the Past.’ The museums will hold guided tours, gallery talks and workshops for children, and will expose the visitors to new exhibitions and unique displays.
Among the museums taking part are the Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Tel Aviv Museum of Art; Petah Tikva Museum of Art; Museum for Islamic Art; Rishon Lezion Museum; Nahum Gutman Museum of Art; Wilfrid Israel Museum; Janco-Dada Museum; Khan Museum in Hadera; Bloomfield Science Museum in Jerusalem (pictured); Erez Israel Museum Tel Aviv; Ilana Goor Museum; Haifa museums; The Negev Museum of Art; Bible Lands Museum; Beit Shturman Museum; Museum of Philistine Culture; Hamizgaga Museum; and Geological Museum Ramat Hasharon.
