Name released of taxi driver murdered in north Tel Aviv
Lod resident Ayman Shaaban was found shot shortly after a gunman opened fire on a bar in the city's center.

A taxi driver was found shot and killed Friday afternoon in an open area in northern Tel Aviv.The man – later named as Lod resident Ayman Shaaban – was found by police in critical condition in the vacant area on Yunitsman Street near the Glilot interchange on Friday afternoon, not long after a gunman opened fire in a suspected terror attack in Tel Aviv, killing two and wounding 8.Shaaban was rushed from the scene by paramedics, but ruled dead shortly thereafter.The discovery of Shaaban’s body was reported by police about two hours after the shooting attack, but police would not say if there was a connection between the two incidents.On Friday evening, police reported they had secured a gag order on the investigation into Shaaban’s murder. The investigation of the Tel Aviv shooting attack was also placed under a gag order Friday night.
