Israel on Wednesday deployed the Iron Dome missile defense system again near Sderot, out of concern over potential rocket attacks amid heightened tensions.
Earlier Wednesday, Iran strongly condemned the Israeli strikes in Gaza a day earlier, which led to the death of a Palestinian, and claimed that "the activity comes from the Occupation Entity's fear of a Third Intifada."
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Marzieh Afkham said: "This is a barbaric attack that comes from desperation and fear of a third Intifada from the Palestinian nation, especially from the Islamic resistance in the West Bank."
She added that "the Islamic Republic blames the Zionist occupation entity for state terror, and calls on the international community, particularly the United Nations and the Organization of the Islamic Conference, to condemns the crimes and to act to prevent these incidents from happening again."
