"Yoni" Netanyahu, commander of the elite Sayeret Matkal unit, was killed in the 1976 Entebbe raid. The Prime Minister paid the visit two nights before Remembrance Day, so his security detail would not disrupt others visiting the graves of their loved ones on that day. "The years pass, but the pain remains," he said at the site.Netanyahu's 102-year old father, Benzion, was unable to accompany his son to the military cemetery, so the prime minister and his family paid him a visit immediately afterward.
