Ora Marsiano, approximately 28 years old, was evacuated to the hospital last Tuesday as she went into labor in Kdumim, a town in the West Bank. When the ambulance team reached her, they preformed initial checks and immediately took her to Mayanei Hayeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak when realizing that she was both in labor and suffering from high blood pressure.Miki Nemesh, the paramedic treating Marsiano, immediately noticed upon his entry to the ambulance that her husband, Elhanan, entered the vehicle with a guitar case.Nemesh suggested to Elhanan that they play and sing for Ora to ease the tension. The two played together, and soon enough, the entire ambulance was unified in chorus. The ambulance ride was unforgettable not only for the soothing atmosphere, but for the phenomena that followed: Ora’s high blood pressure dropped.“Everything began from a simple conversation… we have some very tense situations at work, and suddenly a moment throws you off in a humane, emotional way,” stated Nemesh. “We are pleased to have received such a lovely couple and wish them Mazal Tov.”“You are the real life-savers,” said the happy parents in a statement. “This is an opportunity to thank all of MDA for the devotion to your patients.”
