Quentin Tarantino and Daniella Pick – who recently returned from a honeymoon in Israel – were reportedly robbed at their home in Los Angeles over the weekend.
According to TMZ, two burglars broke into the famous director’s home Sunday around midnight – likely expecting that the house was empty.
The tabloid website reported that Tarantino was home, and “confronted” the burglars who “hightailed it out of there” – but not before making off with jewelry and other property.
TMZ did not mention if Pick, Tarantino’s new Israeli bride, was also home at the time.
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed TMZ’s reporting, noting that “the suspects were gone by the time officers arrived. Property was stolen, but specifics were not given. No one was hurt during the incident, police said. The investigation is ongoing.”
Just over two weeks ago Tarantino and Pick – an Israeli singer and the daughter of singer Tzvika Pick – got married in Los Angeles. A few days later the couple traveled to Israel to visit family and celebrate Hanukkah. It is possible the robbers believed Tarantino and Pick were still in Israel when they broke in.
Pick did not react to the burglary on social media, but on Monday she posted several beauty shots from her recent wedding to Instagram.
