Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez said during a visit to the Rafah border crossing in Egypt that the current ceasefire in Gaza is not enough and that a permanent ceasefire was needed.

De Sutter said the European Union should immediately suspend its association agreement with Israel, which aims at better economic and political cooperation.
The arrests come amid a global spike in antisemitic incidents following Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel that has spurred an ongoing Israeli military response in Gaza.
