The partnership will help Boeing standardize data analytics across its production lines and support sensitive military missions.

The request includes a $3.8 billion deal for 30 AH-64 Apache helicopters, which would double Israel's current supply.

The contract’s scope is estimated at approximately half a billion dollars and is funded through US aid. The aircraft will replace the IAF’s fleet of Re’em Boeing 707 tankers.

The Boeing 777-9, the next generation jetliner, took off from Paine Field in the US on its maiden flight. The crew reported the plane "flew wonderfully" during the test flight.

With a range of 11,830 km and the capacity to unload some 207,000 pounds of fuel, the KC-46 can refuel over 64 different types of aircraft.

The 242 people included 217 adults and 11 children, a source told Reuters. Of them, 169 were Indian nationals, 53 were Britons, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian, Air India said.
