Florentin and her Mezzo colleagues are now offering a taste of some virtuosic fare composed by Bach, with the “Bach and the Concerto” doubleheader on December 29 in Tel Aviv.
The series kicked off last month and will run through June, taking in a total of 15 multidisciplinary offerings, and will continue to offer some respite from the ongoing existential trials in Israel.
The four-day event was put together by Confederation House CEO and artistic director Effie Benaya to replace the far grander annual Jerusalem International Oud Festival.
His slot in the forthcoming Oud Days Festival draws on the writings of 18th century Italian rabbi, kabbalist, philosopher, and poet Moshe Haim Luzzatto.
The festival, established by Confederation House and its long-serving CEO and artistic director Effie Benaya, showcases the best the Ethiopian community has to offer.
