The IDF stated that these soldiers destroyed weapons and terrorist infrastructure and eliminated terrorists both in combat and with assistance from the Israel Air Force.
"The heroism of the fallen of the 13th Battalion accompanies us in every step we take," stated battalion commander Lt. Col. Tomer Greenberg.
This is the first time that the IDF is participating in the multinational exercise.
The rest of the unit will be required to complete a series of educational disciplinary activities before returning to their usual training and work schedule.
The soldiers were called in for a disciplinary conversation after laying down their weapons and refusing to train.
