Amotz Asa-El’s “Middle Israel” is The Jerusalem Post's most veteran column, and also one of the earliest online columns in the world, having run consistently since the launch of Jpost.com in 1995 as one of the world’s first 10 news sites. 

“Middle Israel” is a unique effort to voice mainstream Israelis’ view on anything, from politics, culture and foreign affairs to business, religion and sport. 

Having joined The Jerusalem Post as its business editor and later served as news editor, editor of the International Jerusalem Post, and executive editor of The Jerusalem Post, Amotz Asa-El is the only senior editor in the Post’s 91 years to have never held a non-Israeli passport.
