Israel urged Russia on Thursday to expel the visiting Hamas delegation, calling their invitation to Moscow "deplorable".
Russia has ties to all key players in the Middle East, including Israel, Iran, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas, the terrorist group that controls Gaza.
Both countries submitted resolutions to the UNSC on the Gaza war and the October 7 Hamas assault on Israel.
Elkin also referred to the rocket fired by the Islamic Jihad that hit a hospital in Gaza, stating that "whoever is ready to murder our children is also ready to murder their own children."
