The IDF stated that their raids are only directed at Hezbollah, and soldiers' activities are not directed at UNIFIL posts, forces, or infrastructure.

The leaders of France, Italy, and Spain on Friday condemned the firing on the position of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon explaining that such attacks were "unjustifiable."

Katz told the UNSC that Israel had engaged “constructively” to secure a diplomatic resolution to the conflict but that Hezbollah had rejected those efforts.
"Lebanon is adhering to its position of rejecting war and not intending to enter it," the officials added, noting their concern in the recent escalation.
