WATCH: Givat Ze'ev terrorist stalking victims before knife attack
In a video released of the stabbing in Givat Ze'ev from Wednesday night, civilians can be seen chasing the suspected Palestinian terrorist.

Bystanders chased down and apprehended a terrorist late Wednesday night after he stabbed and seriously wounded a 36-year-old Israeli man outside a store in the settlement of Givat Ze’ev, near Jerusalem.In video footage from the scene of the attack, the assailant can be seen walking several paces behind an Israeli couple with his right hand hidden in his jacket pocket. He picks up speed and – off camera – stabbed the victim twice in the upper back before fleeing the scene, Jerusalem District police said.The attacker – described by police as a 17-year-old Palestinian man from al-Bireh, outside Ramallah – can then be seen fleeing the scene through a parking lot, with a number of civilians chasing him seconds later.Police said the civilians managed to catch up to the man not far from the scene of the attack, overpower him and hold him until police arrived.Officers found a knife close by, which police said the attacker is believed to have tossed while fleeing.Magen David Adom paramedic Dudi Gur said when he arrived at the scene, he found the victim conscious and suffering from a number of stab wounds to his upper body.Paramedics worked to stop the bleeding until they could get him to Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem for treatment, where his condition was decribed as stable. The woman who was with the victim was not harmed in the attack.The terrorist was lightly wounded in the scuffle with the civilians and was taken to Hadassah-University Medical Center in Mount Scopus, police said. Deputy Jerusalem District head Avshalom Peled praised the civilians who stopped the attacker, and urged the public to continue to be on alert and to report suspicion persons to police.
