Rabbi Moshe Shilat is the founder and director of Chabad on Campus Israel, and of C-teen Israel. the main programs by Israel’s Next Generation. He was born in Jerusalem in 1975, the son of Rabbi Yitzchak, head of Yeshiva Berkat Moshe Ma'ale Adumim and a researcher of Rambam's writings, and a prominent religious activist who worked to promote the status of women.
As a child, Moshe Shilat visited the Lubavitcher Rebbe and became a follower of Chabad. After his studies and military service, he married into the Kirschenbaum family, and the couple began extensive public activities to strengthen Jewish identity among young people in Israel.
Rabbi Shilat has been instrumental in establishing numerous projects aimed at various segments of Israel's youth.
These include special initiatives for IDF soldiers, high school students, and university students, such as 'CTeen Israel' and 'Chabad on Campus israel.'
He also founded the 'Tzama' project, featuring Hasidic music performances by prominent Israeli artists, and initiated large-scale events in Jerusalem. His publishing house, 'Mayanaotaich,' makes Hasidic writings accessible to the general public, producing new books and weekly magazines that reach hundreds of thousands nationwide. Rabbi Shilat's efforts have connected countless young people to their Jewish roots through social involvement, educational programs, and cultural initiatives, ensuring the future vitality of Jewish heritage and identity.
