Amazing olive oil chocolate chip cookies

These cookies are delicious, unique, versatile, and incredibly indulgent without any butter.

These cookies are so delicious and unique. It's hard to believe they contain no butter and are parve. You can combine different types of chocolate and also add nuts and/or raisins. For a vegan version, replace the egg with a mashed banana.

Olive Oil Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

280 grams (2 cups) flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

100 grams chopped dark chocolate

⅔ cup dark brown sugar

⅔ cup mild olive oil

1 small egg (or banana for a vegan version)

1. In a bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and chopped chocolate.

2. In a separate bowl, mix the olive oil, sugar, and egg (or banana for a vegan version).

3. Combine the two mixtures to form a smooth dough.

4. Preheat the oven to 200°C (about 400°F).

5. Roll uniform-sized balls (about the size of a plum) and arrange them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden but still soft. Let them cool; the cookies will firm up completely.
