Fire, smoke, and lots of meat, of course

Nature Grill bills itself as the "2.0 generation of charcoal grills," developed for the modern era without sacrificing the "real" grilling experience.

These are bold words, addressing the ongoing debate in the barbecue world: charcoal or gas? Primal smoke or technological advancements? Distinctive aroma or engineered scent? Is it all a matter of habit, an acquired taste, or are there qualities and characteristics that can't be replicated without compromising what's on the grill and on the plate?

Here, it seems, they’ve managed to find the fine line between the wisps of smoke.

The American grill, launched about two years ago, now offers a new feature: true portability and a personalized experience, allowing for spontaneous ignition and a countdown timer that reaches 420 degrees in just 5 minutes—a stark contrast to the traditional grill lighting process.

This ignition mechanism is internal, protected from wind and other weather issues, and operated with a dedicated button. Simply fill the grill's charcoal compartment (with very few coals), pour a small amount of lighting gel onto the surface, activate the fan, and ignite the gel. Then, return the charcoal compartment to the surface, close the grill, and wait briefly, as promised.

The grill is very easy to open and operate, excellent for carrying, and doesn’t take up much storage space at home or in the car. It has a double grilling grid (which can be flipped to a cute plancha format), relatively good quality for the genre, heat intensity control (another pain point in “regular” grills), and very little smoke compared to the norm.

Its size (35 cm, 3.5 kg) allows for focused, single or small group meals, perfect for those times when you crave a grill but not a noisy, crowded celebration. The grilling surface, however, can also handle a hungry quartet, easily accommodating four hamburgers or double the amount of skewers. Perfect.

It's a very American product that, upon inspection and use, fits well with the Israeli lifestyle, which has recently embraced camping with all its gadgets and developed a sophisticated balcony culture.

The grill itself is made of stainless steel (with a heat-insulated casing) and looks durable, with promises of easy and efficient cleaning proving true—a traumatic issue with traditional grill grids. It’s available in several colors, and the kit includes a carrying and storage bag, lighting gel (500 ml, sufficient for dozens of uses), and a 2.5 kg bag of charcoal (enough for numerous grilling sessions).

The price (NIS 1,205 officially, NIS 890 with a launch discount) requires thoughtful consideration of your grilling habits and personal passion for barbecuing, but it doesn’t demand extensive planning like large gas monsters and is definitely worth a try.
