The IDF announced on Monday that a three-judge panel of the Judea Military Court in the West Bank recently handed down life sentences to three of four Palestinian terrorists who were convicted accomplices in the murder of an Israeli policeman three years ago.
A fourth Palestinian was sentenced to 25 years in prison for assisting in the murder, but to a somewhat lesser degree.
The attack, which took place on June 14, 2010, claimed the life of Yehoshua “Shuki” Sofer.
The Palestinians opened fire at Sofer, who was in his police car near the Al-Fawar junction in the South Hebron Hills.
Two other policemen were wounded in the shooting.
The four Palestinians have been identified as Muhammad Jabr Harub, Raed Issa Muhammad Harub, Muhammad Ismail Hasin Harub and Ali Yunis Asdallah Harub.
Baha Eladam, the Palestinian who was determined to have been the shooter, was sentenced to life imprisonment two years ago.
An investigation of the murder revealed that the four men prepared their attack by performing reconnaissance missions beforehand. They noticed that the police cruiser in which Sofer was driving would take the same route and arrive at the same destination on a daily basis.
Authorities said that the five Palestinians were also involved in both planning and carrying out attacks against other Israeli targets.
The next most serious attack they carried out included the attempted murder of Yariv Mimouni, who was injured by a shooting attack they perpetrated at Edna junction.

While the sentences were significant and the defendants were found guilty of the majority of the charges, some of the lesser charges were dismissed, though the IDF did not specify which.
