IDF operates in Tulkarm for over 40 hours, nine soldiers wounded

The IDF conducts 40-hour operation in the West Bank city of Tulkarm. 9 soldiers have been injured in clashes with Palestinians.

The IDF has been operating in the West Bank city of Tulkarm for over 40 hours, according to reports from Israeli media on Saturday.

Nine soldiers have reportedly sustained lightly to moderate wounds in clashes with terrorists over the course of the operation.  All the soldiers have since been evacuated from the area to receive medical treatment at a hospital. 

The operation took place in Tulkarm's Noor al-Shams neighborhood.

Turkish, Egyptian foreign ministers discuss how to boost aid to Gaza

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said he addressed the "grave situation" in Gaza and how to step up humanitarian aid to the Strip with Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry during a meeting on Saturday in Istanbul.

"We have discussed what more we can do to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, and what can be done in the long run for a two-state solution," Fidan told a joint news conference with Shoukry.

UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese accuses Israel of lying about all aspects of Gaza

At a public hearing at the European Parliament on April 9, Francesca Albanese, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, accused Israel of destroying Gaza and committing genocide in the enclave.

Albanese was one of a series of invited speakers at the hearing held by members of the European Parliament. She was asked to give her view on the war in Gaza.

She accuses Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and enacting apartheid on the Palestinians.

She called "Israel's genocide in Gaza" extremely conspicuous and ostentatious and slammed the world for failing other people after Rwanda, Srebrenica, and Myanmar.
