In the wake of the terrorist attack against the State of Israel and the situation of many families in the Gaza Strip border towns who lost their loved ones, their families, their homes, and basic equipment, the Snir Association established an operations room for the residents of the South and soldiers, with the aim of helping and supporting the thousands who need food, accommodation, and clothing for those who are hosting families from the South.

Thus, Snir is now mobilizing for the war and has launched a special operation to collect donations and basic products for residents and soldiers.

Also, the association opened 7 WhatsApp groups under the name "Snir's Angels." Each group will deal with a different topic, such as professionals for mental health and trauma; a group for collecting baby products; for transporting and hosting families; an aid and packages group for soldiers who were called up; and groups for recruiting volunteers from different regions of Israel.

Nir Shmol, chairman of the Snir Association, said: "We decided to open an aid center for the residents of the South and the front line, following many requests to us that began to flow from citizens and soldiers. We are making this activity available to our professionals, the organizational infrastructure, and the logistical capabilities we have, to help and support anyone who needs it.

"It is very moving to know that the WhatsApp groups already number in the hundreds of people who want to volunteer, donate, and help - our strength is in our unity and in reaching out and helping each other."

Shmol also noted: "As an association that has been operating for 13 years and helps thousands of families a year with help in almost every possible field, in addition to collecting donations from Israelis and many organizations abroad, we are preparing an increased number of volunteers to help as many families as possible in the difficult situation we are in.

"It is important for us to reach as many citizens as possible and to respond to families from the southern region who wish to stay in the Center, to help mentally anyone who is in need, to take care of food baskets and baby products, food for soldiers and more."
