Missile and rocket fire from Iran continued into early Friday morning, causing damage across various sites in central Israel.

On Thursday evening, missile fire from Iran left three people lightly wounded in Petah Tikva and Mazkeret Batya, as a major impact caused heavy damage at a site in Petah Tikva.

in Petah Tikva, residents described hearing powerful explosions above nearby residential towers as an Iranian missile created a large crater near a school.

“From the strength of the blast, it was clear there had been an impact close to our home,” one resident told Maariv. “We were very lucky it landed in an open area, and that there are no classes right now, otherwise it could have ended in a major disaster. Even for those used to the sounds of explosions, this was unusual.”

in Mazkeret Batya, one person was lightly injured by shattered glass caused by a blast. In Shadmot Mehola, a fire broke out in a cowshed after interception debris fell in the area. Footage from the scene showed what appeared to be the burning tail section of an Iranian missile.

A man and a woman were also lightly wounded in Petah Tikva and were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital for treatment.

Earlier on Thursday, a kindergarten in the northern Israeli city of Nahariya was struck amid a Hezbollah rocket barrage.

The Hezbollah attack resulted in two additional sites being hit. Israeli media reported homes and businesses in the region, including a McDonald's, were damaged.

Two men wounded in northern Israel

Separately, in northern Israel, two men aged 85 and 34 were moderately wounded on Thursday morning by shrapnel after a Hezbollah rocket attack, MDA said.

The two were evacuated to the Ziv Medical Center in Safed, with the 34-year-old suffering a head wound and the 85-year-old suffering a wound in one of his hands.

After the attack, the military said that it was operating at the scenes of reported shrapnel falls. It urged the people in the surrounding areas to avoid any affected location.

"We appeal to the public to be attentive and obey instructions, not to go to missile landing sites and destruction sites, not to touch interception parts, and to allow police and rescue forces to perform life-saving operations," the police said at the time.

That evening, another two men were wounded.

After another Iranian missile barrage triggered sirens across the country, including the Dead Sea area, Jerusalem, and municipalities north of Gaza, falling shrapnel lightly wounded two people, MDA said.

One of those hurt was a man, aged around 30, who suffered a back injury. The other was a man around 10 years older who suffered from a head injury.

“We arrived quickly at the scene with ambulances, mobile intensive care units, and MDA medicycles, and saw two men who were fully conscious and suffering from shrapnel injuries," MDA EMT Mohammad Hussein said. "We provided them with initial medical treatment on site and evacuated them to the hospital for further treatment in mild condition. At the same time, we also treated several people suffering from anxiety at the scene.”

Almost 70 people treated in past 24 hours, MDA says

Magen David Adom said Thursday evening that 68 people were treated over the past 24 hours amid ongoing attacks, including 35 with physical injuries and 33 suffering from anxiety.

Of the wounded, 12 were lightly injured by missile fire, while 23 others were hurt while rushing to protected areas, the organization said.

Since the start of Operation “Roaring Lion,” MDA has treated 2,223 people, including 1,745 physically wounded and 478 suffering from anxiety. Among those hit by missile fire, 19 were killed, with dozens more in serious, moderate, and light condition.
