The IDF dismantled over 1,000 Hezbollah terror infrastructure sites across southern Lebanon, the military said on Tuesday.

The soldiers, operating under the 91st Division, dismantled the sites, which included booby-trapped structures and buildings where terror weapons were found.

The military said the sites were used to plan attacks against IDF troops operating in the area.

During searches, forces uncovered hundreds of weapons belonging to the terror group, including machine guns, Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, mines, pistols, anti-tank missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, mortar shells, and additional ammunition.

Meanwhile, the Israel Air Force conducted strikes on Hezbollah terror targets in southern Lebanon on Tuesday morning, the military said without providing additional details.

Hezbollah, Israel escalate attacks

On Sunday, Hezbollah and Israel both escalated their attacks and accused the other side of violating the ceasefire.

The ceasefire began on April 17. Israel argues that it only applies north of the Litani River.

The IDF has killed at least 40 Hezbollah terrorists since the ceasefire came into effect. Almost all of these were in southern Lebanon.
