The IAF bombed a number of targets in southern Gaza early on Monday in response to a Palestinian rocket attack Sunday on the South.The IDF Spokesman’s Office said the targets had been struck accurately, and confirmed that the air strikes were a response to the rocket.“The IDF will not tolerate any attempt to harm Israeli citizens orsoldiers, and will continue to act with determination against anyelement seeking to unleash terror against the State of Israel,” theSpokesman’s Office added.After being elected in 2009, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu declaredthat Israel would respond to every rocket attack targeting southerntowns and villages.Sunday’s projectile struck the Ashkelon Coast regional council, southof Ashkelon, ending over a month of calm on the southern border. Nocasualties or damage were reported from the attack.
