For anyone who has served in the military, training in field conditions is far from luxurious. But now, Bentov Ellipsis, a company specializing in cardboard displays, is changing the game with their water-resistant cardboard beds, offering comfort to soldiers in the Gaza Strip.

'We created several prototypes'

Shahaf Bentov, the CEO of the company, explains, "We primarily design and manufacture cardboard displays, but our work came to a halt on the first day of the war. We pondered how we could contribute to the ongoing efforts. That's when the idea struck us.

"We created several prototypes and initiated a small-scale production of a few dozen beds in our workshop," he continued. "When we began distributing them, the soldiers went wild for this innovative solution. To address the issue of moisture, we designed a dedicated nylon sleeve to shield the bed from water and mud. Now, we have an exceptional product—a combination of the bed and a basic mattress that revolutionizes comfort, even on rugged surfaces like stones or hard rocks."

The soldiers fighting in challenging conditions have a newfound source of comfort and relief thanks to these waterproof cardboard beds.
