'Jordan postpones appointing ambassador to Israel'

Jordan has reportedly postponed the appointment of a new ambassador to Israel for the third time, London-based paper Elaph reported on Tuesday.
King Abdullah reportedly is waiting for the results of the current peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians and its implications on Israel-Jordan relations before making any decisions.
The previous envoy, Ali Ayed, was named Jordan's minister of information and communications in July, and a new ambassador has not been chosen.
The Jordanian government was scheduled to nominate an ambassador to Tel Aviv last month, but it was reportedly dropped after a disagreement between ministers, Elaph reported. Other ambassadors have been appointed since.
Former Jordanian Prime Minister Abdul Salam Majali, one of the chief negotiators of peace between Israel and Jordan, reportedly said that he was very disappointed by the deterioration of the peace talks and that Israel torpedoed the talks at their outset.
