Kinneret water level rises 1.5 cm after heavy rain

Lake is still far below the red line; stormy weather to continue throughout the day.

The Water Authority has said that the waters of Lake Kinneret rose 1.5 cm due to the recent rainfall in Israel, Israel Radio reported Wednesday.
At this level, the lake is still 21.5 cm shy of the red line, which sits at 213 m below sea level.

Heavy rains continued on Wednesday morning, with 15 mm falling near Tel Aviv and another 8 in Jerusalem.
Thunderstorms are expected to continue throughout central and northern Israel, and meteorologists predict snow on the Hermon.
