Israel braced itself for winter weather on Saturday as heavy rains and temperature drops hit the country.In the north, a snow storm hit Mount Hermon closing down the ski site to visitors.RELATED:Mt. The site is expected to reopen on Sunday.Rains swept throughout the country from the northern regions to the Negev starting on Friday and continuing into Saturday.The meteorological service warned of risks of flooding in the Judean desert and issued a warning not to enter the Mediterranean sea due to danger of high waves.No delays were reported at Ben Gurion international airport.
