During the ambush, Hezbollah reportedly attacked the IDF soldiers with anti-tank missiles and forces on the ground. 

While Iranian missiles did hit army bases, the Israel Air Force emphasized that no civilians, soldiers, or planes were harmed.

Captain Oster, who was 22 years old and from Modi'in, was a soldier in the Egoz Unit.

The soldiers will be accompanied by the Israel Air Force and the 282nd Artillery Brigade.

The IDF has initiated operations in Beirut against Hezbollah, urging residents to evacuate specific areas due to imminent strikes.

"We should expect to strike government centers," the official said.

It also issued a veiled threat to the United States, stressing that “Regional states and the Zionists’ supporters are advised to part ways with the regime.”
