Delaware has voted Democratic candidate Matt Meyer, who is Jewish, as its next governor.

This makes Meyer, 52, a former middle school teacher, the second Jewish governor in Delaware history.

In a recent interview with Jewish Insider, Meyer, 52, said that growing up in a small Jewish community, “makes you a little prouder of your Judaism."
