Minister Yitzhak Wasserlauf urgently demands action on increased infiltration from Jordan, citing severe security threats and Iranian activity.
There is no indication that fruit and vegetables that have been imported from Jordan are infected with cholera.
In April, Jordan said it intercepted flying objects that entered its airspace as Tehran launched explosive drones and fired missiles at Israel in the first direct retaliatory attack of its kind.
It was unclear whether the attack was linked to threats by Iran to retaliate over the killing of the Hamas leader.
While such an attack is not expected to escalate into a full-scale war, it is anticipated to be more severe than the drone assault in April.
The US has requested that European and other partner governments urge Iran to refrain from escalating tensions.
Understanding the consequences of the past infiltration should cause the relevant parties "to find solutions to the issue as soon as possible," Barda said.
