Soft and irresistible cinnamon sticks: The ultimate recipe

Tahel Cohen presents the perfect way to make soft, sugar-coated cinnamon sticks that beg to be torn apart and dipped into a tangy-sweet Greek yogurt dip. We couldn’t ask for more.

Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups flour

1 1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar

3/4 cup Greek yogurt

1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract

Optional: 1/2 tsp almond extract

Cinnamon sugar coating: 3 tbsp melted butter

1/2 cup granulated sugar + 2 tbsp cinnamon

Cream Cheese and Greek Yogurt Dip:

40g cream cheese (at room temperature)

1/2 cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Instructions:

1. In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, Greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using).

2. Place the dough on a floured surface and knead a few times by hand.

3. Divide the dough into 10-12 pieces. Lightly flour the pieces and let them rest for 10 minutes.

4. While the dough rests, preheat the oven. Gently stretch each piece by hand and twist them into sticks.

5. Bake the sticks, then brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the cream cheese and Greek yogurt dip.

7. Serve the warm cinnamon sticks with the dip.
